It's dark, it's cold, and Nyhavn is full of light. Then the kayaks come gliding in – decorated, glowing and singing their way down the canal.
Every year on 13 December, the Santa Lucia kayak parade passes through Nyhavn. Aboard Oranje you watch it from the water's edge, with a table, homemade gløgg from the bar and something good to share.
How the evening goes
From 16:00 – your table is ready. We recommend arriving before 16:30. Around 17:15 – the kayaks enter Nyhavn. We turn off the lights onboard, so you can watch without reflections in the windows. After the parade – the lights come back on, and the kitchen is ready for more. Until 19:30 – the table is yours.
Tables on the Top Deck
The Top Deck is booked with tickets for this evening. Your ticket works as credit to spend onboard, and the sharing snacks are on us.
Exclusive Large Table by the canal – up to 4 guests Sharing snacks: charcuterie or cheese plate, pulpo, bread and butter. DKK 2,500 credit for food and drinks onboard.
Exclusive Table onboard Oranje – street side – up to 2 guests Sharing snacks: charcuterie or cheese plate, pulpo, bread and butter. DKK 1,000 credit for food and drinks onboard.
Anything beyond your credit is charged on the evening.
Lower Deck – regular bookings
Prefer a regular table? Once the Top Deck tables are sold out, we open the Lower Deck for normal bookings that evening. When the kayaks pass by, everyone is welcome up on the Top Deck to see the parade.
Good to know
